Honest comparison
Fasite vs Yardbook
Yardbook is free software for landscaping and lawn care businesses, funded by advertising, with optional premium features for larger companies. Fasite is paid at $129 per month because it is a service rather than a tool: your website is built, hosted, updated and structured for local search, with leads captured into a CRM and a $229 tier that answers the phone.

Fasite: $129/month for the website, lead capture, and CRM; $229/month for the AI Front Office plan with the 24/7 AI receptionist and online booking. Both start with a 30-day free trial.
Free software has a business model, and it is ads
Their own explanation is admirably direct: Yardbook is free because it runs a sponsored advertising model, the way large consumer platforms do. That is a fair trade for many crews and we would not talk anyone out of it. It is worth understanding what it implies, though. Attention inside the product is the revenue, so the roadmap answers to advertisers as well as to you, and premium features exist for the companies willing to pay.
Scheduling the work is not the same as winning it
Routing, estimates and invoicing for a mowing round are exactly what Yardbook does, and doing it free is a real gift to a young business. None of it makes the phone ring in March when you need next season's contracts. That job belongs to a site that ranks for lawn care in each town you serve and to somebody answering when a homeowner calls, which is the pair Fasite sells.
The sensible combination
For a lawn care business watching every dollar, running Yardbook for scheduling and paying for a front office that generates work is a defensible split. What we would question is relying on free software and a Facebook page as an entire growth plan, because both put your business inside somebody else's platform, where the rules and the audience are theirs to change.

Questions, answered.
Is Yardbook really free?
The core product is, and their site explains it runs on a sponsored advertising model, with optional premium features for larger companies (yardbook.com, checked August 2026). Free of charge is not the same as free of trade-offs, but the trade is stated plainly.
Does Yardbook give me a website?
It gives your business a profile inside their platform. Fasite builds a site on your own web address, with pages for each service and area, and keeps it updated for you.
Why pay Fasite when Yardbook costs nothing?
Because they solve different problems. Yardbook organises work you have already won. Fasite is aimed at winning more of it: ranking locally, capturing enquiries, and on Tier 2, answering the phone when you are on a mower.
Can I run both?
Yes, and for a lawn care crew that is often the smart setup: free scheduling from Yardbook, with the website, lead capture and phone handled by Fasite.
